Dockwise – Perth

Supplied Aubrey Oak floorboards.

When we Dockwise, the Dutch leader in the Heavy Marine Transport industry, secured our new offices in the heritage listed Royal Insurance Building in Perth, our design brief was to create an interior environment that suited the buildings heritage, the people that would work in it and to communicate that Dockwise is here to stay in Australia. Crucial for the ambiance and feel of the offices was the timber flooring matching our 1920-ies inspired Dutch design furniture.

The flooring we were looking for had to be hardwearing, easily maintained and stable. Wide boards with a very natural appeal were also essential. They had to look, smell and feel like real timber does.

After a lot of research we found that only the European Aubrey Oak flooring from Tokens of Living ticked all the boxes. On top of being a great product we found the service and the knowledge of Tokens of Living very impressive and the cooperation with in the outfitting contractor was very professional. From a project management and control point of view the floor was a critical element. Selecting Tokens of Living secured us with access to their knowledge, delivery on schedule, within budget and without any quality issues. And of course with the beautiful ambiance we were after.

We moved into our office in November 2012 and we haven’t looked back. The flooring has proven to be all that was promised and more.

I recommend Tokens of Living and their Aubrey Oak Flooring to anybody who would like to create a special feeling!
